Pictures at a Parade

Partners participated in yesterday’s New York “Celebrate Israel Parade” as part of the “Progressive Cluster,” including (among others) : Americans for Peace Now, the New Israel Fund and activists in J Street (the latter prohibited from marching with its own banner because it’s a 501-C4 lobbying group). We marched to emphasize our solidarity with the Jewish state, even as we criticize most policies of its current government. We were sandwiched between a drum band from a Harlem high school and a cluster of gay groups, and genuinely enjoyed ourselves.
