Women’s Initiative’s Statement on the Current Crisis in Israel and Palestine

As the hostilities on the ground continue, the Women’s Initiative, like so many others, shares our pain and anguish over the killing and acts of hatred taking place in Israel/Palestine.

While military operatives and individual actors on all sides have chosen the paths of aggression and violence, we wish to shine a light on the engagement of Women Wage Peace, a group of activist women:
Jewish, Arab, religious, and secular.

Today, women gathered in front of the Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem for a “silent rally.” Their stance called for an “end to the violence and fighting,” through forming a human chain.

We support their courageous work, and in the coming months, we hope to have them share their insights and on-the-ground stories with us in a webinar dedicated to their vision.
