Israel is gearing up for yet another round of elections. Meretz has two top-five female candidates on its slate for the March 23 balloting, Tamar Zandberg (#2), who is Jewish Israeli, and Ghaida Renawie Zoabi (#4), who is Palestinian-Arab Israeli. The Women’s Initiative at Partners for Progressive Israel hosted a webinar with both of these women in conversation on Wednesday, February 10th, co-hosted with the National Council of Jewish Women. This webinar provided an opportunity to hear both candidates discuss their vision for Israel’s future, a homeland for the Jewish people and a country for all of its citizens. Judy Maltz, the diplomatic correspondent at Haaretz, moderated the conversation, which included a Q&A with the audience.
