Rabbi Israel S. (“Si”) Dresner is a former president of Partners for Progressive Israel (then called the ‘Education Fund for Israeli Civil Rights and Peace’). A social activist all his adult life, Rabbi Dresner is enshrined in a landmark Supreme Court civil rights decision, Dresner et. al. v. Tallahassee. At the invitation of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., Rabbi Dresner led a delegation of rabbis assembled by the Union of American Hebrew Congregations (Reform Movement) in a street demonstration in which they were arrested. Rabbi Dresner served as a pulpit rabbi for 25 years at Temple Beth Tikvah in Wayne, New Jersey. Rabbi Dresner was a delegate to three Congresses of the World Zionist Organization. He is the father of a son and a daughter.
